The Mission of APATT is simple, straightforward and sensible.

It is the prime responsibility of the government of Trinidad & Tobago to attend to the needs of their citizens who are on the Autism Spectrum. If this was being done then there would not be a need for organizations like APATT. Until the time when our children's rights are being met, here are some ways YOU can help:

First, join APATT, it is FREE.

Even if you do not have a direct connection with someone on the Autism Spectrum. We have a special status called, "APATT Friend" which will allow you access to some of our features, learn more about what we do and helps us to stay in touch. If you are an Autism Parent then you should join as an APATT Member - Register Now.

Know what Autism Parents and their Children Need

Second, please help us dispell the local mindset that focuses on NGOs and private schools as the means to take care of the needs of children and adults with autism in T&T. There are families with children on the Autism Spectrum that are in desperate need of help now. Their children are home because the parents cannot afford the outrageous five-figure fees of 'special' schools or intervention programmes or therapists. Learn about the REAL challenges of Autism Parents and their children so you can be empowered with the information.

Hire Someone on the Autism Spectrum

If you are a business owner and will like to hire an adult on the Autism Spectrum please let us know. There are many persons on the Spectrum who can contribute in positive ways to society if given the chance. Again, you should join APATT to start the process - Register Now.

Physical Donations

APATT is primarily an activist movement but there are things that can help us move forward:

1. A physical location to meet to dispense information, hold meetings, etc.

2. Printed material in the form of cards, pamphlets and so forth are always needed so the information therein can empower the minds of all those willing to learn about Autism and the rights of Children on the Autism Spectrum. Please do Contact Us.

Direct Monetary Donations

If you are only interested in giving a monetary Donation then please do understand that APATT does not actively seek Donations because we feel this only adds to what we pointed out in the first paragraph above - it is the responsibility of government. You should also be aware of our policy about receiving Donations. Regardless, if you wish to support Autism Parents in this way then we will accept the Donation and ensure it goes directly to Autism Parents and not be taken up in organizational structuring. If you donate $1, that single dollar will be given entirely to a parent of a child or adult with autism in need of assistance. Please do Contact Us.
